About the client & the role

Our client, a leader in technical manufacturing, is searching for a General Operations Manager to oversee and drive production operations within a high-performing environment. This is a unique role for an operations leader ready to make an impact in a setting that values intrapreneurial thinking and offers room to implement transformative changes. As the General Operations Manager, you’ll manage production, supply chain, and quality operations, ensuring top-quality output within optimized lead times, all while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Responsabilities:

• Drive end-to-end production processes, focusing on meeting lead times, maintaining product quality, and optimizing costs.
• Implement and champion Lean manufacturing practices to create a sustainable and efficient operational framework.
• Develop the team into a self-sufficient unit, capable of supporting both local and global objectives.
• Lead cross-functional collaboration with teams from sales, finance, HR, and customer care to align operations with strategic business goals.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 10 years of operations management experience within manufacturing, ideally with exposure to machinery or assembly parts production.
• Expertise in Lean, Kaizen, or continuous improvement methodologies, with a proven ability to improve workflows and manage cost structures.
• Strong leadership skills with experience managing complex teams and a focus on fostering a team-centric environment.
• Ability to thrive in a high-standard, international setting, with excellent communication skills in English and Romanian.
