About the role
The Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing sales strategies for the French market, focusing on promoting and selling client ’s products to DIY chains, large retail chains, and specialized showrooms. This role involves managing existing commercial relationships (short and medium-term), attracting new partners (long-term), coordinating internal teams, and actively contributing to overall product development and innovation strategies.
Responsabilities:
- Define and implement a sales strategy tailored to the specifics of the French market, considering DIY and retail trends.
- Identify new business opportunities through market research, competitor analysis, and active participation in trade events, fairs, and exhibitions.
- Expand the client portfolio by actively prospecting and establishing partnerships with regional and national retailers.
- Create and execute customized promotional campaigns for each client in collaboration with marketing and design teams.
- Establish, maintain, and develop long-term relationships with buyers and decision-makers within DIY chains and showrooms.
- Negotiate commercial contracts, delivery terms, and financial conditions.
- Monitor client performance, proposing solutions to increase sales and optimize logistics processes.
- Provide continuous support to clients by efficiently managing product, delivery, or operational issues.
- Develop detailed sales plans based on periodic performance analyses, KPIs, and growth forecasts.
- Coordinate with internal departments (marketing, logistics, design) to ensure timely delivery and product quality standards.
- Supervise the implementation of pricing policies and product positioning at client points of sale.
- Prepare periodic reports for company leadership, highlighting achievements, challenges, and growth opportunities.
- Develop and implement training programs for the local sales team to strengthen competencies and drive performance.
- Facilitate close collaboration between local and international teams, promoting the exchange of best practices.
- Foster an organizational culture based on innovation, integrity, and service excellence.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 10 years of sales experience, focusing on collaboration with DIY chains, large retailers, and showrooms.
- Proven expertise in negotiating commercial contracts and managing buyer relationships.
- Relevant experience in analyzing and reporting financial indicators (KPI, P&L).
- Advanced skills in consultative sales and key account management.
- Ability to develop complex commercial strategies that positively impact revenue.
- Solid knowledge of the DIY market dynamics, including purchasing cycles and consumer preferences.
- Proficiency in using CRM systems and digital tools to optimize sales processes.
- Fluency in French (written and spoken) and English (advanced level).
- Proactive, resilient, and solution- and results-oriented.
- Leadership skills to inspire and motivate teams, with excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
- Structured, organized, and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
