About the role
The Financial Analyst role ensures clear, actionable visibility into project and company financial performance by structuring and validating data, monitoring costs, cash flow, and budget deviations, and supporting operational and management decisions with timely insights.
Responsabilities:
Consolidate and analyze financial data across projects and the business (P&L, Budget vs. Actual, Cash Flow).
Track project costs and proactively flag variances versus budget; support root-cause analysis.
Maintain and periodically update forecasts; propose optimization measures to improve margins and cash discipline.
Partner with Project Managers to understand execution progress, risks, and the financial impact of operational decisions.
Identify missing, inconsistent, or non-compliant data; follow up to ensure timely corrections and improved data quality.
Build and maintain Excel-based reporting and models (tables, pivot tables, formulas) to enable repeatable insights.
Collaborate closely with the Accounting team to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reconciliation of key figures.
Qualifications:
2–5 years of experience in one or more of the following: audit, internal audit, accounting with an analytical focus, controlling / FP&A.
Solid accounting fundamentals and a strong understanding of the link between project costs, profitability, and cash flow (ideally in project-based environments).
Excel (intermediate to advanced): tables, core formulas, pivot tables (Power Query is a plus).
Strong analytical mindset; detail-oriented; comfortable working with incomplete data and multiple sources.
Structured and proactive working style, with persistence in investigating variances and highlighting risks early.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with Project Managers and operational teams.
