About the client

Our client is an established German automotive supplier with a global footprint and a history spanning more than 150 years. As a family-owned business, they combine the stability of a long-term employer with the pace of an industry going through rapid technological change.

They are currently building a new SAP Service Center in Cluj-Napoca, which will support and develop their international SAP landscape. This is a genuine build-from-scratch opportunity, the team is being formed now, and the people who join early will help shape how it works.

About the role

As an SAP FI/SD Consultant, you will be responsible for the stability and continuous improvement of the finance and sales side of an international SAP landscape.

This is a techno-functional role. You will handle customizing in FI and SD, but you will also work directly with ABAP developers on enhancements, investigate issues across both functional and technical layers, and keep the interfaces between SAP and connected systems running.

You will work as part of a newly formed team in Cluj, in close cooperation with the central SAP team in Germany. English is the working language, German is a plus, but not a requirement.

Responsibilities

• Delivering 2nd-level support for the SAP FI and SD modules, ensuring smooth daily operations

• Analysing and resolving incidents and change requests

• Executing customizing activities in SAP FI and SD to meet business requirements

• Working closely with ABAP developers to design and implement system enhancements

• Conducting root cause analyses across both functional and technical domains

• Supporting integrated systems such as logistics, EDI and finance-related interfaces

• Monitoring and maintaining SAP interfaces (IDoc, RFC, Web Services)

• Contributing to implementation projects and supporting smaller-scale rollouts

• Creating process documentation and facilitating knowledge transfer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent professional experience

• Minimum 3 years of experience as an SAP FI and/or SD Consultant

• Customizing experience in FI and/or SD

• Strong understanding of integration points between FI, SD and MM

• Experience in support and change request handling

• Solid ABAP skills: debugging, enhancements, basic development

• Experience with SAP integration technologies: IDoc, BAPI, RFC, ALE

• Understanding of interface architecture and connected systems

• Structured, reliable and solution-oriented working style

• Fluent English (German is a plus, but not required)
